IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Welcome to Aviation Carbon 2024! We are delighted that you are joining us for two days of informative and enjoyable debate, learning and networking. Please read the following important points of information for all persons attending:
Travel and parking:
For travel information to the London Heathrow Marriott, we recommend our guide at https://aviationcarbon.aero/transport/ which details the many ways to reach the venue from the airport terminals, other hotels and London.
Delegates may use the Marriott car park free of charge during the conference, but must register their number plate at the hotel reception, or scan the QR code in the conference area. If in need of overnight parking, please notify the hotel’s front desk upon check-in. Please note that Aviation Carbon staff will not be able to help you for parking issues, only the Marriott team.
Accessibility:
Aviation Carbon 2024 is accessible to all, the conference suite, foyer and meeting rooms can all be accessed via an elevator. If you require additional support during your visit, please visit the Organisers Office or the main hotel reception.
Cloakroom:
There is a cloakroom for coats and bags, which this year will be located in the main hotel foyer on the Ground level rather than in the conference area. The cloakroom will be signposted from the entrance. It will be staffed at peak times and otherwise locked. Please note that neither the Organisers nor the Heathrow Marriott take responsibility for any items left there.
Badges:
You must wear your conference badge visibly at all times within the event area.
Organisers’ Office:
If you require assistance, please ask the staff at the event registration desk, the hotel staff, or come to the Organisers’ Office (Bleriot Suite 3 & 4), which will be signposted in the foyer area.

Registration & Light Breakfast Buffet: 08:00 – 09:30
Morning Plenary Session: 09:30 – 13:00 (Refreshment Break 10:50 – 11:20)
Buffet Lunch: 13:00 – 14:20
Afternoon Sessions: 14:20– 17:45 (Refreshment Break 15:40 – 16.10)
Evening Reception: 17:45 – 19:30
Day 2
Registration & Light Breakfast Buffet: 08:00 – 09:00
Morning Plenary Session: 09:00 – 13:00 (Refreshment Break 11:05 – 11:30)
Buffet Lunch: 13:00 – 14:30
Afternoon Sessions: 14.30 – 17:30 (Refreshment Break 15:45 – 16.05)
Personal Property:
IMPORTANT: Please take all your belongings (jackets, bags, laptops, notes, etc) with you at the end of the Day 1 morning session as the main Lindbergh room will be reconfigured for the afternoon sessions.
Contacting other delegates:
A few days before the event we shall make the Eventzilla app available to delegates who wish to download it onto their phones and be contacted. All attendees will receive, at event check-in, a printed list of delegate names, job title and organisation name, but no contact details shall be provided. Final agenda and speaker biographies will also be provided.
Exhibition:
We encourage you to make time to visit the Sponsor and Exhibitor stands in the foyer area. Our sponsors make it feasible for us to organise the event as well as allowing us to be so generous with concessionary tickets.
Evening Reception:
You are cordially invited to attend our evening reception (kindly sponsored by Vitol, our Platinum Sponsor) in the exhibition area between 17:45-19:30 at the close of Day 1. There will be a selection of drinks and small items of savoury and sweet buffet-style food.
Media Room:
Members of the press and media have the dedicated use of the Wilbur 1 room, which will be equipped with desks and power sockets (UK type G standard), for reporting and interviews.
Wi-Fi:
Free Wi-Fi is available during the conference. Connect via the ‘Marriott Conf’ network and use the password ‘nextg’. If you require faster speed Wi-Fi than the conference zone provides, please contact the Marriott front-desk for more information.

Food & Drink:
Food served during the meal breaks will include vegetarian, vegan and Halal options. There are coffee stations situated throughout the foyer. As per the notification during the registration process, if you have a severe allergy, you will have informed the hotel directly no later than 15 days before the event start date. Also, as per registration notification, if your allergy is life-threatening, our venue cannot cater for you and so you may consider not to attend in order to avoid any risks to your wellbeing.
Conference Presentations:
We aim to make slide presentations available to download from our website in the week following the conference, commencing 2 December, subject to speaker permissions and amendments. We’ll send you an email when they are posted.
